Angela Franks, “The Body as Formed Stream.”
Professor Angela Franks is a leading voice in American Catholic theology on the meaning of the human body in western modernity. We are fortunate to welcome her to our seminar and to learn from some of her recent essays. Prof. Franks will help us to clarify what is at stake between the Christian interpretation of embodiment that we explored in our Seminars this Fall as well as recent modern (or postmodern) revisions of those views. This will prepare us for our three modern Christian accounts of embodiment in our Seminars this Spring.
